The Children’s Culture Centre is leading new projects and efforts relating to children's culture, it develops cultural activities for daycare centres, schools and families in collaboration with the city's cultural institutions and artists, and it provides support, also financially, to cultural projects for children and the young.

The Children’s Culture Centre is also in charge of the Teaching- and Learning Courses in Aarhus, which Aarhus Municipality is providing to ensure that the pedagogical values of cultural institutions, and nature- and sports related environments, are included in early childhood education, schools and youth education for the benefit of the learning, education and well-being of children and the young.

Please contact us if you would like collaboration, support and advice in relation to children and culture.

We work with artists and cultural institutions, and together we develop and organise art- and cultural activities for children - both in schools and day-care centres, but also during leisure time, and for the whole family.
We manage a share of the municipality's money, the Children's Culture Pool, which supports art activities, where children meet with professional artists. We also support art- and culture projects that are for, with and by children and the young.

The Children’s Culture Centre is an external institution under Aarhus Municipality's Culture Administration, and it has been in existence since January 2000.
